Job Description:
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher supporting students in Montgomery, Alabama for the upcoming school year. This full-time, onsite role involves working with students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with school teams to provide individualized support and instruction. The position offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with state and district guidelines
