Special Education Teacher Opportunity Monterey, MA
Seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to support diverse student populations in a variety of classroom settings across Massachusetts. This contract position offers the chance to work with K-12 students who have varied educational needs and requires a Massachusetts Special Education License.
Location: Monterey, Massachusetts
Position Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students in K-12 classrooms
- Manage caseloads involving students with a broad spectrum of disabilities across multiple classroom types
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student success and progress
- Utilize effective instructional strategies and behavioral interventions to foster a positive learning environment
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student growth and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License required
- Proven experience teaching special education students in K-12 settings
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, accommodations, and best practices
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple caseloads effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with educators and families
