Key Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Comfortable working with students in grades Pre-K through 12, including elementary, middle, and high school groups
- Experience in adapting curriculum for varying abilities and grade levels
- Strong foundation in Math instruction across a variety of grade ranges
- Exceptional communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and challenges
- Provide differentiated instruction in academic areas, with an emphasis on mathematics
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and specialists to ensure cohesive support for learners
- Monitor and assess student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in support of each students educational journey
- Foster positive relationships that encourage student participation, independence, and self-advocacy
