Step into a rewarding role shaping young minds as a full-time Special Education Teacher, delivering vital support in an onsite setting through June 2026. This multi-opening opportunity centers on fostering growth and development for students with a variety of learning needs. Across elementary and middle school placements, youll collaborate with experienced assistants and compassionate peers in a vibrant educational environment.
Immediate openings include:
- Elementary Developmental (two positions): Guide classes of 15 students each, supported by six assistants; experience with behavioral, ASD, and communication needs valued.
- Elementary Behavior: Engage with grades 35, leading a team of 16 students and five assistants focused on behavioral development.
- Middle School Resource: Provide individualized and small group instruction for up to 40 students with the support of two shared assistants.
- Elementary Resource: Work across two nearby sites, serving up to 35 students with assistance at each building.
- Middle School Behavior: Mentor a class of 15 students, in partnership with a team of five assistants.
What You Bring:
- Active Special Education teaching certification or licensure for Oregon.
- Proven experience or strong aptitude for working with students exhibiting behavioral, ASD, or communication needs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the energy to support diverse learners.
- Willingness to provide contact information for your most recent supervisor as a reference.
Your Role:
- Develop, implement, and adapt academic and behavioral plans for individual students.
- Collaborate closely with assistants, administrators, and parents/guardians.
- Manage student data and IEPs, track progress, and ensure compliance with all relevant educational standards.
