Multiple openings offer a range of focus areas and age groups, including:

• Elementary Developmental classrooms (2 roles) serving students with behavioral, ASD, and communication needs, with robust classroom assistant support.
• Elementary Behavior classroom (Grades 35), supported by a skilled team of assistants.
• Middle School Resource program for a diverse group of learners, collaborating with fellow resource specialists.
• Elementary Resource across two close-proximity sites, providing flexible, supportive instruction.
• Middle School Behavior program focused on positive behavioral supports in a team environment.

Key qualifications and experience:

• A current, valid Special Education teaching certification/license for Oregon.
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with disabilities and a variety of learning needs.
• Skill in adapting instruction to individual student goals and collaborating effectively with assistants, therapists, and families.
• A commitment to positive behavioral support, inclusion, and creative problem solving.
• Availability to start as soon as possible and work onsite full-time (37.5 hours/week) through the contract period.
• Must be able to provide reference contact information for your most recent supervisor.

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based instruction tailored for each learner.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with staff and families to support student progress.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Track and report student growth in accordance with state and federal standards.
