An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a high school adaptive classroom in Mocksville, NC. This contract position runs from mid-April through the end of the school year and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves working closely with a shared caseload of approximately 26 students, alongside two other teachers, providing specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive special education instruction to high school students.
• Collaborate with co-teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with school staff and parents regarding student development.

Qualifications:

• Valid North Carolina Adaptive Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working in a high school special education adaptive classroom.
