An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a high school adaptive classroom in Mocksville, NC. This contract position runs from mid-April through the end of the school year and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The role involves working closely with a shared caseload of approximately 26 students, alongside two other teachers, providing specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver adaptive special education instruction to high school students.
- Collaborate with co-teachers to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with school staff and parents regarding student development.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Adaptive Special Education teaching license.
- Experience working in a high school special education adaptive classroom.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a multi-teacher setting.
- Ability to manage a caseload of students with varying abilities.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.

Additional Information:
