A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Minneapolis, MN, for a licensed Minnesota Special Education educator to support a 4th-grade elementary classroom. This role focuses primarily on providing individualized instruction to a small caseload of 5-7 students with special needs, while also offering the possibility of working with academic groups across other elementary grade levels depending on student requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored special education instruction and support to 4th-grade students with diverse learning needs.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet individual student goals and state standards.
• Collaborate with paraeducators, RBTs, or other support staff provided by the district to enhance student learning and behavior.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and coordinate with general education teachers to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within 4th grade.
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement them effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff.
• Flexibility to teach academic groups beyond 4th grade as needed.

Position Details:

• Location: Minneapolis, MN (travel required for placement)
• Position Type: Travel special education teaching assignment
• Schedule: Approximately 37.5 hours per week
• Duration: Immediate start through June 4, 2026
• Caseload: 5-7 students
• School setting: Elementary level, one school assignment
