Desired Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid and active Minnesota special education teaching license
• Experience working with students in any or all grade levels: elementary, middle, or high school
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with families, staff, and administrators
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the unique learning styles and needs of each student
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to classroom management

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and specialized support to students with varying exceptionalities within the school setting
• Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other educators and families
• Assess student abilities and progress, documenting growth and areas of need to inform future instruction
• Partner with general education teachers to ensure inclusion and accessibility in classroom activities
• Communicate consistently with parents, guardians, and support staff regarding student progress and strategies for success
• Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued
