Experience a fulfilling opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher and Autism Specialist in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. You will work full-time during the 8/31 to 6/11 school year, delivering tailored instruction and services to students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher is required
- Tier 3 or Tier 4 teaching license preferred for optimal program engagement
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable
- Background in developing and implementing IEPs and specialized curriculum
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to each students IEP goals
- Serve as an advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate resources and services
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Engage in collaboration with other educators, therapists, and families to maximize student achievement
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training relevant to the role
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines
