Step into a rewarding contract role supporting middle school students in special education, located near Minneapolis, MN. This position offers the chance to positively impact learners in an established, collaborative environment, with the likelihood of extension through the entire school year.

In this full-time assignment, you'll work alongside another Special Education Teacher and a team of experienced paraprofessionals to provide targeted support to two small groupsone with a math emphasis, the other focused on social skills. Your expertise will help manage a caseload of 15 students in a Setting 1-2 environment, ensuring each child receives tailored, meaningful instruction.

What we seek:

• Active MN Special Education Tier 2-4 teaching license
• Experience with Setting 1-2 environments and middle school-aged students
• Strong skills in differentiating math instruction and facilitating social skills growth
• Ability to collaborate closely with fellow educators and paraprofessionals
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom culture

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering specialized instruction to small groups
• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Working side-by-side with other teachers and paraprofessionals for consistent support
• Tracking student progress and communicating with staff and families
• Cultivating a structured, engaging classroom where all students can thrive

This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm, between August 20, 2026 and December 23, 2026, with high potential for extension to the whole academic year. Interviewing takes place virtually via Zoom for a streamlined hiring process.
