Job Description

As part of a collaborative and supportive educational team, your expertise with learning disabilities and high school special education will be crucial. Youll focus on reading interventions, executive functioning strategies, and provide both academic support and instructional accommodations. Your knowledge of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and integration into established frameworks will be highly valued as you guide students to success.

What Were Looking For:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Learning Disabilities licensure is a major plus)
  • Proven experience supporting high school students in special education settings
  • Strong background in reading intervention, executive functioning, and designing tailored academic supports
  • Proficiency in IEP development and implementation, including progress monitoring and providing necessary accommodations
  • Ability to efficiently transition into an established school team and quickly build rapport with students and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted reading and executive functioning interventions
  • Provide instructional support for students with learning disabilities
  • Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Track and report student progress, collaborating with the wider support team
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
