Job Description

Multiple contract opportunities are now available for Special Education Teachers in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Positions run from ASAP through June 11, 2026, and offer the opportunity to shape student success in various specialized settings including elementary, secondary, and homebound services. With seven openings, your expertise will have a far-reaching impact.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid MN teaching license required
  • Experience working with students in autism (ASD), developmental cognitive disabilities (DCD), early childhood special education (ECSE), and/or cross-categorical caseloads preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to collaboration with general education staff, families, and related service providers
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability in supporting students varied educational and emotional needs

Responsibilities & Role Highlights:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students based on IEPs in a range of educational settings (elementary, secondary, itinerant, and homebound)
  • Prepare, implement, and document individualized education plans
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for learners in specialized settings
  • Regularly communicate student progress to families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with district and state requirements
