Job Description
This Special Education Teacher position offers an opportunity to work onsite in a supportive school environment in Millsboro, DE, serving young learners ages 3-4 with identified disabilities including autism and developmental delays. Multiple openings are available with caseloads adjusted based on the candidates experience and qualifications. The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instructional services tailored to each students unique needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary to support developmental growth
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment promoting social, emotional, and academic skills
Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher license is mandatory
- Experience working with preschool-aged students with autism and developmental delays is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and support personnel
