Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for Massachusetts requirements
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred
- Strong skills in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Proficiency in adapting curricula and instructional techniques to accommodate various disabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Implement assessments and track progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and parents to support student success
- Advocate for student needs within the school setting
- Facilitate a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
