Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification required
- Experience working with students across K-12th grade preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet diverse needs and learning styles
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen skills and remain current on educational best practices
