Take on a fulfilling role guiding young learners as a Pre-K Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year in the lively Miami area. In this direct hire position, you'll empower exceptional students by teaching academic content and social skills, all tailored through thoughtful implementation of each students Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
Your role will involve:
- Recognizing each child's unique needs, learning style, background, and temperament to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to maximize student success
- Backing up the Director during their absence to support smooth school operations
Desired qualifications and experience:
- State of Florida Professional Educators Certificate in Primary/Elementary Education and ESE, or eligibility to obtain
- Bachelors degree in education, early childhood, special education, or a closely related field
- Reading Endorsement and ESOL certification required, or commitment to enroll and obtain them
- Completion of the Department of Children & Family Child Care Training
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online research
