Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with early learners in a supportive, well-resourced setting. This contract position is based near Methuen, MA, and focuses on prekindergarten and kindergarten students within a dedicated, sub-separate classroom environment.
Youll help shape the educational journey for a small caseload of six students, collaborating closely with four program assistants and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide individualized support and instruction. This full-time opportunity spans 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Fridayoffering a consistent schedule ideal for passionate educators committed to early childhood special education.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid MA Special Education license (SPED) required
- Experience working with early childhood or elementary students with diverse abilities
- Strong communication skills for partnering with assistants, BCBA, and families
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated lesson plans
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support pre-K and kindergarten students in a sub-separate classroom
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum
- Work in collaboration with a BCBA and multiple program assistants
- Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and communicate updates to families
- Employ evidence-based instructional practices to maximize each students potential
