An opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support students across K-12 grades in Methuen, MA. These contract roles involve working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing specialized education tailored to diverse student needs within various classroom settings.
Positions include openings such as high school inclusion teacher, special education teacher for a sub separate autism program, lower school resource room teacher, and resource room teacher. The caseload for each role will consist of manageable class sizes, allowing focused individual and group instruction.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) license required
- Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting
- Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for diverse learners
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction based on students unique education needs
- Develop and modify curriculum materials, adapting strategies as appropriate
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student development and inclusion
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and learning
