Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Louisiana special education teacher license (active and in good standing)

  • Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies for a range of learning needs and abilities
  • Dedication to nurturing a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
  • Provide direct instruction and interventions tailored to student needs
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and participate in regular IEP meetings
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviors and support social-emotional development
