Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must hold an active Louisiana Department of Education certificate with a Special Education endorsement
• Only fully credentialed, currently certified candidates will be considered
• Temporary or provisional teaching authorizations will not be accepted
• Capable of completing all district and agency credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting
• Prior experience with K-12 special education populations highly valued
• Ready to begin as soon as possible and commit through May 2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instructional plans to support students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusion and academic growth
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet IEP goals
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as needed
• Assignments across schools and final caseload will be determined based on district needs
