A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support K-12 students in a school located in Metairie, LA. This contract assignment runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, aligning with the school calendar. The position requires an active Louisiana DOE certification and compliance with district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-12 students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff
• Ensure compliance with all applicable special education policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana DOE teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting preferred
• Ability to pass required drug screening and fingerprinting
• Ready to begin work immediately without pending certification processes

Position Details:

• Location: Metairie, LA
• Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week (7 hours/day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), Monday through Friday, per school calendar
