Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience teaching in special education environments preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with diverse student populations
• Familiarity with current instructional strategies and behavioral interventions

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in self-contained and specialized settings tailored to student needs
• Develop and monitor effective IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Utilize differentiated instruction and positive behavioral supports
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, progress reports, and documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and other professionals to support student progress
• Implement evidence-based strategies designed for students with autism, learning, and behavioral differences
