Job Description

A school in Merrimack, NH is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide in-person services to students with Autism. This contract position offers 30 to 32.5 hours per week with immediate hiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with Autism in a classroom setting.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents and staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification or relevant licensure.
  • Experience working directly with students on the Autism spectrum.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral and instructional strategies for special education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers.
