Job Description

Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 11, 2027, youll engage in meaningful work, dedicating 35 hours a week to empowering students and collaborating with passionate colleagues.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Connecticut Special Education Teacher licensure and certification
  • Strong school-based experience in special education settings
  • Comfortable working across a range of programs (Pathways, KEY, inclusion)
  • Available to work with K-12 age groups
  • Professional references ready upon request
  • Willingness to complete a virtual interview via Zoom

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address a variety of student needs
  • Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment for students with autism, multiple disabilities, and diverse learning requirements
  • Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to deliver effective, student-centered instruction
  • Track student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families and team members
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required
