What Youll Bring:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience teaching or supporting students with autism or related developmental challenges preferred
- Ability to adapt lesson plans for varying student needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and other educators
- Flexibility, creativity, and problem-solving orientation
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and modify instruction to meet the unique needs of students in a specialized autism classroom and a resource room
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff and families
- Track student progress, provide regular updates, and maintain accurate records
- Utilize various strategies and tools to support academic, social, and emotional growth
- Encourage positive peer and student-teacher interactions in all activities
- Attend relevant trainings, meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development
