This position runs approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, providing a stable, consistent schedule. Youll manage a balanced caseload featuring a mix of general and special education students, fostering inclusivity and personalized growth during their formative preschool years.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Preschool Special Education Teacher certification required
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of both general and special education instructional strategies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Passion for creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement effective lesson plans for a diverse group of preschool students
- Focus on individualized instruction to meet each students unique needs
- Collaborate with classroom staff, therapists, and families to facilitate student success
- Monitor progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages development and discovery
