Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification is required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally within special education settings
- Strong commitment to individualized education and inclusive teaching practices
- Proficiency in developing, implementing, and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working well with colleagues, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students in grades K-3, tailoring lessons to diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and adapt strategies to help each child achieve their goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports and IEP updates
- Foster a classroom culture that promotes respect, engagement, and confidence in all learners
- Stay current with best practices and compliance measures in special education
