A specialized teaching position is available for a Special Education Teacher with experience working in K-2 grade levels. This travel opportunity places you in a school environment in Melrose Park, IL. The role involves managing a self-contained classroom supporting 7-8 students with diverse special education needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instruction plans tailored to students in grades K-2 within a self-contained classroom setting.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment to meet the unique learning requirements of each student.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
• Monitor and document student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment aligned with school policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Professional certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher.
• Prior experience teaching students in grades K-2 with special needs.
• Ability to effectively manage a small self-contained classroom.
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to education.

Location and Schedule:

• Position based in Melrose Park, IL.
• Work hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
• Travel assignment with a defined duration.
