Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active LBS1 endorsement is required
  • Previous experience working in self-contained special education programs is strongly preferred
  • Ability to teach and adapt curriculum for a wide range of learning needs
  • Skilled in building strong, compassionate relationships with students and families
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in self-contained classrooms
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and other professionals
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies to promote growth and achievement
  • Collaborate with general educators, therapists, and other staff to support inclusive learning environments
  • Foster a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Maintain regular, clear communication with families regarding student goals, progress, and needs
