This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely with a diverse caseload, developing individualized educational plans and collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications:
- Active LBS1 endorsement is required
- Previous experience working in self-contained special education programs is strongly preferred
- Ability to teach and adapt curriculum for a wide range of learning needs
- Skilled in building strong, compassionate relationships with students and families
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students in self-contained classrooms
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with students, families, and other professionals
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies to promote growth and achievement
- Collaborate with general educators, therapists, and other staff to support inclusive learning environments
- Foster a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Maintain regular, clear communication with families regarding student goals, progress, and needs
