This opportunity seeks a dedicated School Based Special Education Teacher to support K-3 students in a Cleveland, Ohio school setting. The role involves delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of young children requiring special education services. The position is a full-time contract, providing 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with early childhood age groups (K-3)
- Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Location:
- Cleveland, Ohio
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement specialized instructional plans to meet students developmental and educational goals
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with speech therapists, counselors, and other school professionals to provide comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required by the school and education authorities
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
