Job Description

This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher near the Cleveland area, working 37.5 hours across five days per week. Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teaching Certification required
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with young children is highly valued
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to K-3 students with a range of learning differences
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with the educational team
  • Track student progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student growth and needs
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school-based initiatives
