Step into a meaningful role supporting elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the chance to collaborate with school teams and make a direct impact in K-2 classrooms. Two positions are available, running from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, for a 35-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Key Qualifications:
- Active special education certification/licensure required for assigned caseload
- Bachelors degree required to qualify for an emergency teaching permit
- Previous experience in K-2 schools, preferably in urban settings
- Mastery of subject matter and familiarity with a range of instructional resources
- Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Ability to create and adapt lesson plans based on state and district standards, with differentiated instruction
- Experience with formative assessments to drive student growth
- Completion of all required Pennsylvania state clearances prior to start
- Reliable transportation, with consistent onsite attendance required
- Comfort working with district teams and adapting to local environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with students IEPs
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
- Maintain accurate and timely educational records and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with support staff, clinicians, and families
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
