Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students and schools in the Media, PA area. We are seeking passionate Special Education professionals to fill five full-time, onsite positionsfour within elementary schools and one in a middle school setting. This assignment offers 35 hours weekly, with a schedule between 8:30AM and 4PM. The role begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree required (needed for emergency teaching permit if applicable)
- Active certification/licensure appropriate for managing a special education caseload
- Successful completion of all Pennsylvania clearances before the start date
- At least one year of prior experience working within a school environment
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
- Demonstrated strong classroom and behavioral management abilities
- Experience in urban school settings; comfortable adapting to diverse student needs and district environments
- Proficient in developing lesson plans aligned with state standards, using formative assessments and differentiation strategies
- Skilled in utilizing a range of instructional resources and materials
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, effective instruction tailored to a variety of learning needs
- Foster a welcoming, well-managed classroom environment for all students
- Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance student outcomes
- Participate actively in professional development and school meetings
