Job Description

Step into a rewarding role providing essential support in elementary autism support classrooms. Youll have the chance to make a meaningful difference, teaching classrooms of no more than 8 students with the assistance of 23 paraprofessionals for each class. As a key member of an inclusive and supportive environment, you will oversee required documentation, develop and implement IEPs, and take the lead during IEP meetings. Several caseloads are available, offering flexibility to match your interest and expertise.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching License
  • Prior experience working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable
  • Skilled in managing IEPs and special education documentation
  • Confident working with students who have diverse educational and behavioral needs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working alongside paraprofessionals and other staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction in elementary autism support classrooms
  • Coordinate and lead the development and implementation of IEPs
  • Provide mentorship and direction to paraprofessional support staff
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
  • Collaborate with autism coaches, families, and other educators to support student growth
