Two full-time Special Education Teacher opportunities are available in a small, collaborative school setting serving students across elementary grade levels. Position Options Position 1: Self-Contained Classroom (Grades K6)
- Serve students with moderate to significant needs
- Disabilities include autism, multiple disabilities, behavioral needs, OHI, and others
- Classroom supported by up to 3 paraprofessionals
- Focus on helping students access general education when appropriate
- Structured, highly supportive classroom environment
Position 2: Resource Teacher (Grades 46)
- Work with students diagnosed with SLD, OHI, SLI, and behavioral needs
- Provide small group instruction at grade level
- Push-in support within general education classrooms
- Participate in grade-level team meetings
- Support MTSS Tier 3 interventions, with and without IEP students
Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- Develop and manage IEPs, including meetings and documentation
- Collaborate with school psychologists and related service providers
- Participate in staff meetings and team planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Support both academic and behavioral student growth
