Qualifications:

  • Current and valid LBS1 license required
  • Experience or strong interest working as a Special Education Teacher, especially with primary, K-1 age groups
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and instruct in a self-contained classroom

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging, individualized instruction to K-1 students in a split, self-contained classroom
  • Develop and implement IEPs, adapting lessons to meet each students needs
  • Employ evidence-based strategies and collaborate with other educators and support staff
  • Maintain a full-time schedule from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at one school location
