Desired Qualifications & Skills:

• Current certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification
• Experience working with students with learning, emotional, or physical disabilities
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Organizational skills for progress monitoring and documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction in accordance with students IEPs
• Develop and implement lesson plans that foster academic, social, and emotional growth
• Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide inclusive education
• Assess students abilities, progress, and needs, and participate in annual IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and interventions
• Provide a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence
