As the lead special education teacher for the TLC program, you will play a crucial part in both academic and social growth for your students, helping them achieve their individual goals. Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher licensure is required.
- Prior experience in a special education setting, preferably with middle school students.
- Strong skills in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and differentiated instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead special education teacher for the TLC program, overseeing student progress and instructional planning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Adapt lessons and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and general education teachers.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
