This position follows a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 35 hours per week. Youll have the resources to create an engaging and supportive learning space, collaborating with colleagues in a professional and encouraging environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher (SPED) license required
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families
- Knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to fostering inclusion and academic growth for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students in accordance with their IEPs
- Adapt curriculum and modify instruction to meet diverse needs
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff to ensure consistent delivery of services
- Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and challenges
