Job Description

This onsite role offers the unique chance to split your expertisededicating your mornings to high school special education support and afternoons to providing vital behavior intervention consultation in elementary settings. The focus is on collaboration and empowering teachers through tailored behavior plan development, all without carrying an individual caseload.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required for contracted Special Education Teachers)
  • Previous experience in special education and/or behavior intervention preferred
  • Strong consultation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort adapting to different grade levels throughout the school day
  • Resume and Minnesota teaching license must be submitted upon application

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage in direct special education support for high school students each morning
  • Serve as a consultative resource to elementary educators in the afternoons, assisting with the creation and implementation of effective behavior intervention plans
  • Participate in student support team meetings and contribute to IEP planning as needed
  • Collaborate with school personnel to identify student needs and best practices for intervention
  • Provide ongoing support, resources, and training to fellow educators to promote inclusive classrooms
