Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or 4 Teaching Certification in Special Education (required for consideration)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral challenges, particularly at the elementary level
  • Comprehensive understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and individualized instruction
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning community

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and case management for a caseload of students in the Emotional Behavior Disorder Center
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to support emotional regulation, social skills, and academic engagement
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success across settings
  • Document and report on student progress, making data-driven decisions to adjust programming as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices
