Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• LBS1 endorsement required
• Previous experience with high school age students preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a co-teaching model
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality instruction through five co-taught classes and one resource period each day
• Offer tailored support and interventions to a caseload of approximately eight students
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented
• Lead or participate in up to seven remaining IEP meetings during the school year
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Serve as a resource for students, staff, and families regarding special education services
