This contract role focuses on supporting approximately 25 students on your caseload, providing individualized and small group instruction to help each child reach their full potential. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for K-5 or equivalent credentials
- Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
- Background as a case manager considered a valuable asset
- Strong skills in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Effective communication abilities with students, families, and faculty
- Adaptable and organized, able to manage multiple students' needs efficiently
- Proven commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students on your caseload within a Resource Room
- Implement and monitor IEPs, making data-informed instructional decisions
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to best serve students
- Conduct regular assessments to track student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Communicate updates and collaborate with families regarding student achievements and challenges
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on student performance, goals, and services delivered
