Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license (Minnesota or transferable)
- Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Previous classroom or school-based experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Positive, patient, and creative problem solver
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students individualized education plans
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student success
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including student assessments and IEP documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development opportunities
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages confidence, independence, and lifelong learning in each student
