Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (Minnesota or transferable)
• Degree in Special Education or a related field
• Previous classroom or school-based experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Positive, patient, and creative problem solver

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students individualized education plans
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student success
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Prepare and maintain accurate records, including student assessments and IEP documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and professional development opportunities
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages confidence, independence, and lifelong learning in each student
