This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher serving middle and high school students within a K-12 setting. The role is designed to provide essential support through a contract covering the current school year, focused on delivering specialized educational services aligned with individual student needs.
Location:
- Manchester, NH area
- Onsite work required; no remote options available
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to middle and high school students with varying disabilities
- Adapt curricula and tailor teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district policies
- Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student development and address concerns
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education (SPED) teaching license is mandatory
- Experience working with middle and high school populations within special education settings
- Knowledge of current special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student-centered learning and collaboration
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
