Youll work with a caseload of 18 students, providing essential support across four days each week.
As a Special Education Teacher in this role, youll collaborate with school staff, families, and fellow professionals to foster a positive learning environment that supports each childs unique abilities. Your expertise will empower students academically and emotionally, paving the way for meaningful growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current New Mexico Special Education (NM SPED) teaching license required
- Classroom experience with PreK-5th grade students preferred
- Skilled in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Capable of adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to students in both inclusion and pull-out small group formats
- Develop, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Foster a welcoming classroom environment to enhance student participation
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting
