Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current New Mexico Special Education (NM SPED) teaching license required
  • Classroom experience with PreK-5th grade students preferred
  • Skilled in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Capable of adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging instruction to students in both inclusion and pull-out small group formats
  • Develop, update, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Foster a welcoming classroom environment to enhance student participation
  • Collaborate with families, support staff, and related service providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting
