Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credentials in Special Education, or eligibility for certification
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and advocacy skills for students and families
- Commitment to differentiated instruction and evidence-based practices
- Ability to create, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Team-oriented mindset to partner with teachers, therapists, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to students unique requirements
- Assess and track student progress, keeping detailed and compliant documentation
- Foster positive relationships with families, providing regular updates and resources
- Collaborate with related service providers and general education staff to maximize inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment
