An opportunity is available for two full-time special education teachers to support students in grades K-12 within a dynamic school setting in Madison Heights, VA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on high school students educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and administrators
• Utilize assessment tools to monitor and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Manage a high school caseload, addressing diverse learning needs and behavioral challenges

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Special Education Teacher appropriate for K-12 settings
• Experience managing a caseload of special education students, particularly in high school
• Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and best instructional practices
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
