Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
- Experience or strong interest in ELA instruction for early elementary students
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and support teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, adapt, and deliver engaging ELA curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure coordinated supports
- Track student progress, documenting achievements and updating IEPs as necessary
- Advocate for students and cultivate an encouraging classroom culture
- Implement evidence-based strategies that promote growth in literacy, writing, and comprehension
