Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement
  • Experience or strong interest in ELA instruction for early elementary students
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, staff, and support teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, adapt, and deliver engaging ELA curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to ensure coordinated supports
  • Track student progress, documenting achievements and updating IEPs as necessary
  • Advocate for students and cultivate an encouraging classroom culture
  • Implement evidence-based strategies that promote growth in literacy, writing, and comprehension
