A welcoming school in the Lyons/Estes Park area is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for their Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position offers part-time hoursMonday through Thursday mornings from 8:30 am to noonmaking it ideal for those looking to make a difference while maintaining work-life balance.
As the Special Education Teacher for ESY, youll work with elementary-aged students who benefit from continued academic and behavioral support. Youll collaborate directly with supportive administrators and participate in a team-focused environment designed for student growth. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom in a panel format, and the district will move quickly with same-day decisions for exceptional candidates.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Colorado CDE Special Service Provider (SSP) license required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, especially with elementary-aged students
- Familiarity with instructional and behavioral strategies for diverse learners
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow educators and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptable classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and interventions to students with varied learning needs during ESY
- Adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student success
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to families and staff
- Support a positive, structured classroom atmosphere
- Participate in ESY team meetings and contribute to overall program success
