Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher working with prekindergarten and kindergarten students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to guide a small group of six students in a sub-separate classroom with a robust support teamincluding four program assistants and a BCBAallowing you to focus on each child's individual growth.
Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Experience working with early childhood special education or similar populations preferred
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
- Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices
- Effective communication with families, support staff, and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet each students unique learning needs
- Develop and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with program assistants, BCBA, and related service providers to provide comprehensive support
- Foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, sharing student progress and strategies for continued growth
- Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals
