Job Description

A Special Education Teacher position is available in Methuen, MA, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a diverse K-12 student population. This contract role involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, supporting students in a variety of special education settings.

This role requires a valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) license and experience in managing a caseload of students with individualized needs. Candidates should be prepared to work with class-size groups in both inclusive and specialized environments.

Multiple openings are available, including roles as a high school inclusion teacher, special education teacher for a suburban autism support program, lower school resource room teacher, and resource room teacher, providing a range of opportunities depending on your expertise and interest areas.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education certification
  • Experience teaching K-12 special education students
  • Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability to various instructional settings, including general education and specialized classrooms
